The Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP), an international NGO based in Vienna, Austria, is looking for people who have or are working on a graduate degree, preferably in a related field, like international relations, politics, chemistry, biology, or engineering, as well as nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament issues.

About VCDNP Internship

VCDNP is taking applications for its internship program in the fall of 2024, and people from poor countries are encouraged to apply. There are up to six months for the job. VCDNP wants to do a job for personal reasons in Vienna, Austria.

Necessary Duties and Responsibilities

During his or her internship, the student will have to do the following:

• Under the guidance of VCDNP researchers, plan and carry out a study project on nuclear non-proliferation or disarmament.
• Work with senior VCDNP experts on study projects that are already underway.
• Participate in VCDNP program activities, such as lectures, seminars, courses, and conferences put on by VCDNP. In Vienna, I had the chance to talk to experts from the IAEA, CTBTO, and other international organizations, as well as representatives from national governments and educational institutions.
• Help with administrative tasks and events, and do other similar jobs as needed.
